The Barr Clan
The barr farm

This farm has been in the Barr family for generations. We aren't sure of the year, but we are sure that John Barr and family were the first to live there. Since then it has been passed down the family tree from generation to generation. from John to James, then to John K.C, then finally divided equally between John K.C's 10 daughters and sons. The reason for this property divide is to ensure that this farm will stay in the family, and will not be sold.
The farm still has the original house, though there have been renovations, and the original barn. The farm also has a large acreage, and a decent sized pond a ways behind the house.
This wall was built recently, the wheel is from the original wagon that was used on the farm from the beginning.
Ron's days off
Living on a farm is a lot of hard work. Often times, farmers will have a lot of kids in order to take care of some of the work on the farm.
When Ron and his siblings were still quite young, their father John K.C. Barr would ask the kids "Who wants to stay home from school today and help out around the farm?" Of course most of the kids didn't want to do that, but Ron always volunteered. Little did the other kids know, Ron was rarely working on the farm when he volunteered. Most of the time his dad and him would just end up going fishing together at the pond behind the house instead.

crazy uncle rob

Rob skipping, and playing the harmonica. He was also jumping in circles
If you were looking for something fun to do on the Farm, you just needed to find Uncle rob. He is never short of ideas when it comes to things to keep you entertained on the farm. In fact, rob could keep anyone entertained while doing anything, really.
The year of the big family reunion. That was the year Rob got to a new level of inventive when it came to farm yard entertainment. This particular story needs a little bit of a background story about Rob.
Every year Rob takes a vacation to developing countries, and brings along a suitcase filled entirely with bras. He collects these bras, in all different shapes and sized from charity shops and thrift stores. The reason he does this is to bring them to woman in need, women who don't have access to things like bras and feminine hygiene products.
On the farm, but the pond, there are two old wooden posts that were obviously used as a badminton, or volleyball net. However, we no longer had a net on the farm. We were pretty content in just tying a rope between the posts and calling it a day. That wasn't good enough for Uncle Rob.
Minutes into a new game of volleyball between cousins, rob comes barreling down the path between the crops carrying an arm full of bras in all shapes, colours and sizes. Rob then proceeds to interrupt our game and begins to string up these bras between two lengths of rope, creating a makeshift net. For the rest of the family reunion we played badminton and volleyball using a net made of bras. It was hilarious.
