The story of a family dog
Ron Loses his marbles
Siblings don't always get along. This is common knowledge. In a house of ten kids, things can get hostile pretty quickly.
Ron is one of the youngest of his siblings, so while his brothers and sisters were growing up and moving on from playing with toys, he was still easily entertained by a simple bag of marbles. Now, Ron isn't exactly sure how he made his sister Mary so mad, but he must have really done something wrong because she was not happy. She was so unhappy in fact, that she decided to pick up Ron's bag of marbles and dump them all over the ground.
For obvious reasons Ron was not happy with Mary, so he decided to get his revenge. Ron spied Mary's purse close by, walked calmly towards it, picked it up by the bottom, and swung it like crazy. He swung it continuously until the all of the contents were flung to all corners of the room.
Ron still tells this story to this day, especially when his kids Megan and Douglas begin to bicker.
A few summers ago, the farm cat had not one, but two litters of kittens. Little orange tabby cats were everywhere from the deck, to the barn. They were nearly impossible to keep track of. One day Megan and her mom Suzanne were outside enjoying the hot, dry summer day, and watching the baby goats jump around the yard.
Neither of them were phased when the sound of loud meowing took over the barn. However, this time the meowing seemed more persistent than usual. Megan decided to check out the inside of the barn and see what the kitten was up to, but when she looked around, she couldn't find the kitten anywhere. She followed the sound of its cries and found a small orange kitten inside of a metal motor part. it was a metal case with some kind of wheel on the inside. The kitten had somehow gotten himself trapped underneath the metal wheel, and couldn't get himself out.
When it comes to anything involving animals, Megan is very sensitive. when she saw the distressed kitten she made a short attempt to get the cat out. However, the kitten was very stuck, and it looked as if the cats head was especially stuck. Megan couldn't bring herself to move the wheel for fear of breaking the poor kittens neck, so she called her mother over to help.
Suzanne began to turn the wheel backwards, hoping that it didn't hurt the kitten. While she did this her daughter took a step back, not even looking. The last thing she wanted to see was the kitten die at the hands of her mother who was doing her best to release the kitten from its metal trap.
Luckily, the kitten came out unscathed, except for a few dirty patches. The kitten was rather shaken up, and spend the next few hours by its mothers side, shaking. From what Megan and Suzanne could tell, The cat didn't go back into the barn.

beginners luck

Fishing was never one of Suzanne's favourite pastimes, she didn't hate it, but it wasn't something she'd ever go out of her way to do. However, on one May long weekend camping trip to Hotel Lake she decided to give it a shot. It was the early evening, and Ian was just coming onto land after a long day of fishing. He spent hours fishing, but didn't end up catching anything.
"You done for the day?" Ron asked.
"Nothing is biting today." They could tell Ian was frustrated.
Ron and Suzanne asked Ian if they could take his boat out and go for a ride around the lake, and maybe throw a few lines out for fun. Ian agreed, but told them not to get their hopes up cause as far as he was convinced, there were no fish biting today.
The two of them began their around the man-made lake. In the distance they could see a few fish jumping, they decided to go out there and cast a line. Suzanne wanted to be the one to do it, they thought it would be funny is Suzanne, a novice fisher, made the first catch of the day after Ian spent hours out on the water.
It took minutes. Only a few minutes before Suzanne reeled in a decently sized trout. When they got back to shore, Ian was not pleased. In fact, you could tell how frustrated he was, especially when he found out it was Suzanne who caught it. They ate the trout together that night after cooking it over an open fire. This was how Suzanne's love for fishing began, Ron even bought her a fishing rod for Christmas the year after.
Daisy Mae Barr
Ron and Suzanne went to a bonfire at a neighbour's house one night. This neighbour's father had just passed away leaving him with 3 new dogs, when the nam already had 2 of his own. One of these dogs was daisy. A black lab mix with a big personality.
Suzanne was sitting on a lawn chair when Daisy came up to her, she just patiently sat next to Suzanne and watched the fire, then the dog decided to lay her hand on Suzanne's lap. Suzanne was a sucker for this dog and just thought that she was the cutest thing. At this point the neighbour mentioned that he was trying to get rid of the dogs as there wasn't enough room in his home for them, but every time someone took Daisy, they would give her back after a few days because she was too energetic, and barked too much. Suzanne and Ron decided to take the dog home because she seemed to like Suzanne quite a lot, and they knew the kids would fall in love with her.
The family kept the dog for a few days, then weeks, then months, then years. They still have her to this day.
